‘Moon’ is an eighteen-year-old student and a cosplayer. She likes reading comic since she was ten. When she was a F.4 student, she saw people ‘cosplay’ in Comic market and started her ‘cosplaying’. She told us that the navy army shirt with white pleated skirt (similar to New Method’s school uniform) is a kind of character of cosplay.

**We found the contradiction is that, school uniform and cosplay’s uniform are both ‘uni-form’ of ‘uni-forming’ our bodies and thinking generally. They both contain different cultural meanings to perform our cultural identities . To ‘Moon’, the meaning on uniform dressing is totally different. She fully understand that the school uniform contains ‘collective meaning’ and discipline her body through education institution. On the contrast, she tried to seek for individual identity through cosplay’s uniform when it was situated in the comic market and being watched by friends and strangers there. It is a perforomance of individual identification. **
